Music Team

A "Music Team" is going to Nicaragua in July of 2011!! Does this interest YOU? Or perhaps someone you know? I hope so- because it will only work if we get some more people on board! Approximately 4 people between the ages of 17 and 22 have committed to being a part of this exciting team. We are looking for members of any/all ages. The team will be doing "mini concerts" in hospitals, orphanages, and other places. They also hope to have some people do dramas during their visits, and would like to raise money to buy instruments and leave them with Nicaraguans who share the same passion... WORSHIP!

Anybody interested in going to Nicaragua on a mission and sharing God's love- there's a place for YOU on the team! You don't have to be musically talented. Perhaps you can see yourself participating in dramas? Or other areas?

Please pray about this opportunity and consider it! We would really like to make this team work, but we need more people to get involved... and I know you're out there! Feel free to pass this email along to anyone who may be interested. Don't hesitate to contact PAN Director, Sally Centeno, for more information.

Urgent! Team Members Needed

medical

Are you interested in joining a Mission Team to Nicaragua?

In November of this year, PAN Director Doug Walker is leading a Medical Team to Nicaragua, however, we need more team members! In order to make this Medical Team official, five more willing travelers need to join the group. We are searching for people with medical experience and without!

Medical experience is not required to join this team although one or two nurses would be a real asset.

PAN Hospital Needs

PANHOSP-SM

I can’t count the number of Canadians who have left La Mascota Hospital saying, “if only I could do more…” After visiting young patients and their families in the Oncology ward and hearing about their needs, people can’t help but reach out their hands and bless the families burdened by pain and illness. Though chemotherapy is offered (free of charge) to the young cancer patients, often times they cannot attend treatments because parents can’t afford the transportation to and from the hospital to receive it. Can you imagine? The treatment is available for free, but you can’t get your child to the hospital because of the cost of transportation? This is reality for many Nicaraguan families.

If you would like to "share with God's people who are in need" (Romans 12:13a), then you are at the right website!

PAN Missions has been working in Nicaragua since 1997, partnering with Child Evangelism Fellowship to assist local churches in spreading the gospel. We help them by sending teams to build churches, Sunday School rooms and Christian schools. Our work has expanded into public schools, hospitals, clinics, orphanages, feeding centres, seniors' homes and sewing schools.

PAN is for Everybody!

Listowel Team

People from a wide variety of backgrounds are very interested in joining our mission teams. This is a pleasure for us because we are all one in the Lord! We work with all the denominations in Nicaragua so it is fitting to have Canadian Christians who have a heart to serve, regardless of denominational roots.

If you feel that your church cannot support a mission trip on its own why not consider join with other churches in your community? The picture is of a mission team drawn from several Listowel Churches that enjoyed a productive trip several years ago.  Do not hesitate to contact us - we would be thrilled to help you make your dream a reality.

Tents Wanted

Pastor Melvin Vasquez, our pastor friend from El Salvador who mentors our sports program, received several tents that were sent down in our container. He just finished having his first Christian camp experience! Click on the picture to expand it.

It was a huge success and 4 young people gave their hearts to the Lord. Melvin would love to have more tents to expand the program. Please contact us if you have one to donate.

Show Me, I'll Prosper

showmetellme Angela Van Grootheest of St. Andrew's, Fergus (far right) is seen teaching young Nicaraguan women the basics of haircutting. After a two day course, and armed with a starter kit of two pairs of scissors, a cape, clips, a comb and a brush, these women are ready to start up a small business in their homes to help with the family income.

This new program is so successful that we would like to extend it into as many barrios as possible. Next year, Angela plans on giving our "graduates" more advanced training. With a donation of $25 you can help provide a start-up haircutting kit. Cheques should be made out PAN Missions and mailed to:
